A growing number of players are reporting that extended sessions leave them dizzy, nauseous, and in some cases unable to continue playing at all.
This isn’t a fringe complaint from a handful of sensitive users. This absence sits alongside other accessibility conversations already circling Bananza – the game has faced separate scrutiny over colorblind mode gaps that are excluding players who need more robust visual distinction options. Taken together, these omissions point to a pattern where Bananza’s accessibility coverage addresses some player needs while leaving others without a viable path to play.
Motion sickness is not a niche condition. Conservative estimates from neurological research place the proportion of people with some degree of motion sensitivity at a substantial share of the general population, and that sensitivity becomes more pronounced with age. Treating camera control options as a quality-of-life feature rather than an accessibility necessity means a real portion of the potential audience physically cannot play Bananza for extended periods, regardless of how much they want to.

Whether Nintendo Will Respond
Nintendo has patched games for accessibility and comfort issues before, though camera and motion settings tend to arrive later in a game’s lifecycle if they arrive at all. The question for Bananza is whether the volume of player feedback reaches a threshold that prompts action, or whether the complaints remain categorized as a minority experience not worth a patch prioritization.
Community visibility matters in that calculus. When motion sickness complaints stay siloed in smaller forums, developers can reasonably conclude the issue affects few players. When those complaints aggregate across major platforms and generate sustained discussion, the case for a patch becomes harder to ignore.
