Damage demons is a story quest in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, “Demon Hunters.” Once you talk to Kendo to start this season’s story quest, your first task will be to find and damage demons. But to damage them, you’ll have to find them.
Where to find demons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
There are three demons you’ll find on the BR island in C6S1: Shogun X, Night Rose, and a Demon Warrior. Shogun X and Night Rose are this season’s big bosses — they drop medallions — so they’re going to be tough fights. If you’re looking for an easier target, you’ll want the Demon Warrior.
Night Rose is the only demon that’s always in the same place — Demon’s Dojo. The others spawn randomly(ish) around the map.
You’ll be able to find Shogun X with his large oni mask icon on the map — and later, the red rift icon when the Shogun Arena appears.
The Demon Warrior also spawns randomly, but always near one of seven demon portals. The Demon Warrior (and his two goons) have a samurai helmet-like icon. Check the locations on the map above for the icon to find them.
A trio of demons — a Demon Lieutenant and two Demon Grunts — will also guard the Forecast Tower.
Damaging any of the demons (including the Demon Warrior’s lackeys) will fulfill Kendo’s story quest.
How to collect Fresh Essence
For stage five of Kendo’s quests, you’ll have to eliminate demons to collect Fresh Essence. For this step, only the Demon Warrior and its lackeys count — you won’t get essence by going after Night Rose or Shogun X. You can also get essence from the Demon Lieutenant and Grunts that guard the Forecast Tower.
