follows four everyday misfits — newly orphaned siblings Henry (Sebastian Hansen) and Natalie (Emma Myers), down-on-his-luck ’80s arcade champion Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa), and real-estate hustler Dawn (Danielle Brooks) — as they’re pulled into the pixelated world of Minecraft. The group must learn to survive the imaginative terrain of the Overworld, face off against hostile mobs like Piglins and zombies, and team up with an expert builder named Steve (Jack Black) to find their way home.

A Minecraft Movie lands on Max June 20, with its HBO linear premiere airing the next night, Saturday, June 21 at 8 p.m. ET. An American Sign Language (ASL) version of the film will also be available exclusively on Max on the same day.
