Skybound Games revealed yet another addition to the Invincible VS roster, and it’s none other than Battle Beast. Robert Kirkman showcased the new character during his panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, featuring a trailer built around Battle Beast’s brute strength and thirst for war.

Snapshots from the teaser show off the intergalactic terror soaked in Mark Grayson’s blood after hitting him with a string of brutal combos. Screenshots also show Battle Beast wielding his golden mace, pummeling Invincible to a pulp, and a couple of his abilities, such as his Super Armor to overpower foes on the battlefield.

Battle Beast joins an ever-growing Invincible VS roster. Rex Splode previously joined the cast, which already boasts heroes and villains like Omni-Man, Invincible, Atom Eve, Thula, and Bulletproof, with promises of more characters from the critically acclaimed Image comic book to round out the cast.

Battle Beast first made his comic book appearance in 2004’s Invincible Vol.1 #19, summoned by Machine Head to kill Mark and his friends. Also known as the Scourge of Twin Galaxies, Battle Beast makes light work of Black Samson and Bulletproof, severely injuring both of the heroes. Realizing that the two heroes aren’t strong enough to satiate his thirst for conflict, Battle Beast exits the fight via a teleportation device to an unknown location.

Invincible VS, developed by Quarter Up, is scheduled for release in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
